Travel Is Essential To Our Health...

Or at least to my health. :-) One thing I have learned over the years is that I really need time to enjoy my family, without the distractions of work. Although I love what I do, sometimes I feel like the scale is not balanced. That is when I turn to Him and say... Let's get away.

Now is the perfect time to "get away". The weather is nice, the flowers are beginning to bloom and all the spring clothing and accessories are filling my mind.

As many of you may know, I love to cruise and of course I will take any opportunity to do just that. So as I prepare for our cruise this summer, I am looking at all of the spring/summer/cruise collections and they are so cute.

I always spend so much time thinking about the perfect bathing suit (as if I do not have all the others I bought last year, and the year before) and then at the last minute I am trying to find the perfect bag to put all of my toiletries, etc in. I found the perfect accessory bags. There is a bag for toiletries, handbags, and personal items. Check them out. They come in purple and pink, but if you are interested in another color, send me a note.

Either way, take time out to spend with your family. Traveling can be going on a cruise, flying to your favorite spot or just taking time to drive to the next state. No matter where you go, time with loved ones will rejuvinate your mind, body and spirit.

Why is my closet full and I have nothing to wear

I am in desperate need of something to wear... or am I... All I know is that I need to find something to wear to a dinner, to support a wonderful foundation. The invitation says "business attire", but what does that really mean to me? That could mean a lot of things. While out looking for something (although I know I could possibly find something in my closet) I started thinking, what does it really mean to be in business attire today? I hope I am not expected to show up in a classic blue or black skirt suit with a white or blue blouse. That would just make me so sad. I think that today it should be acceptable to wear a little color, some flyy heals, and just the right amount of accessories, even if the event is considered really conservative. Ok... so if I do end up having to wear a traditional blue or black suit/dress, you can bet your new 3.1 Phillip Lim dress that I will shine in the shoe department. That will have to be my compromise with the classic blue suit followers. :-)
Which brings me to my next thought. So I am out looking for something to wear and for some reason could not find anything but shoes... shoes that could not possibly be worn to the dinner but could not possibly be left in the store either. I mean they were on sale for goodness sake. SALE... BIG SALE.... and they are so adorable. So ladies, it is now the time to look for sales. Who says we can't own a gorgeous pair of Christian Louboutin. I found these and thought they were so cute. Sometimes it is when you are looking for something specific that you luck up on the best finds! That makes it so fun I think.

Fashion and Lifestyle

When it comes to style everyone thinks "fashion". Is that really the case? Is there really a dependency? I think there is a complimentary relationship between the two. When I think of style I think about what makes you happy, what puts a pep in your step, what really speaks to your outlook on life. What is it that you are really in to? What is complementary to your personality. For me it happens to be art and fashion (or are they are one in the same), for him it happens to be watches, cars, a good suit and individuality. For "us" it happens to be each other and our family.

We hope you enjoy the journey into our thoughts and maybe find something that is helpful or at least strikes conversation....
